It was a warm sunny day today as pilks was taking on burtonwood
pilks went down 6/0 to a very experienced side of year 2s
pilks took 14 players to burtonwood who had only 6 players so we lent them a few of our players
which was, Rhys crehan , Roman smith and Ethan cowin who all stepped up and caused pilks some problems
which seen Rhys crehan nearly scoring,(credit to pilks for stopping this try)!

1st quarter, we seen burtonwood run in 3 tries

2nd quarter, we seen pilks tighten up there defence to only allow 1 try

3rd quarter, burtoonwood ran in 2 more tries , taking nothing away from pilks who kept there heads up
and didn't let this get them down and kept running the ball forward looking for the gaps!

Making his debut today was Max Fear , who tackled well , Ran well with the ball, wasnt scared to get stuck in , did everything i asked of him , Well done Max!

Captains today was Josh larkin who took the first run up, considering when this lad first started he didn't have much confidence in his self , he ran the first ball meeting 3 of burtonwoods players, he didn't let this set him back tho , he still tried to push forward and making some good meters for pilks ! well done Josh!

our 2nd captain today was Jacob Davies, who also won man of the match today, Jacob gave us some strong running today and was very unlucky not to break the line and score , his tackle count was outstanding , which proves that size means nothing being one of our smallest lads in the team , well done Jacob !

Coaches choice award went to Rhys crehan, we lent Rhys to burtonwood 1st quarter who we seen run full length of the pitch and was very unlucky not to score , 2nd quarter we seen Rhys come back to pilks , then to give burtonwood a run for there money and doing the exact same , again very unlucky not to score today !Rhys also put in some big hits today and made good yards for both sides! Rhys if you had got that try for burtonwood ypu was banned for life ha! well done Rhys!

tackler of the match went to Bryn Edwards, who we seen today tackle his heart out, having missed no tackles all match , 1 of his tackles which stood out for me and darren, we seen Bryn come across the field to tackle around the legs and make a big hit on 1 of burtonwoods biggest players , excellent performance today , Well done Bryn !

Parents choice went to no other than Luke brighouse, Luke every single week gives his all , having gained his self an award every week so far for his outstanding performances, this week was going to be no different , Luke who was feeling unwell today also didn't let this show in his performance, we seen Luke break a tackle run down the wing to score a try , then 2 have this disallowed for his foot being in touch, video ref needed for that 1 i think ! stunning performance , Well done Luke !

I have to mention Roman smith as he was also lent to burtonwood , he is always running round the field to put in the tackles , running strong for both sides, Well done Roman !

also Ethan Cowin who was lent to Burtonwood , Ethan was unlucky not to get tackler of the match today as he also tackled very well with one on one tackles, you cant help but smile at Ethan as he's always got a smile for everyone and never stops all through the game, well done Ethan !

also playing today was , Lewis Taylor, Billy Traynor, James Hatton, Ethan Cranny,Joseph Morris , Zak Atherton , You all played really well and all kept your heads held high , you are all getting better each week as individuals and as a team , I'm proud of each and everyone of you , Well done Lads!
