.

Pilks was at home this week , on a very nice warm day for a change !
Pilks went down 8-1 to a very big experienced year 2 side !
Pilks started slow going down 2-0 in the first quarter .
2nd quarter was very much the same going down 2-0.
3rd quarter seen Pilks down 2-1 . 4th quarter 2-0 .
Every team under 7s have played so far have been all year 2s .
I am really excited to see Pilks play a side which is a new side like them selfs !
Every week you are all improving , even tho the score line doesn't reflect this .
You all listen in training and bring it to the field every week .
Every week I am seeing you all grow in confidence , you are all improving individually
And as a team , there are some outstanding attack and defence being put in , week in week out.
You are coming together now and working as a team , we are seeing you all trying to help each other out !
Even tho some are year 1s and some are year 2s , you wouldn't know this when you see the kids play .
I can't ask for anything more of you than you are giving me , each and everyone of you , should be proud of yourselfs !

Making his debut this week was Alex Calderbank , Alex has been waiting a few weeks to play . alex is a quiet lad and I thought he may struggle to get his confidence in the first match . well I was wrong ! he was full of confidence , he was in a lot of tackles he was running confidently with the ball , he didn't shy away from anything that was put infront of him. he looked like he was having the time of his life . well done Alex . brilliant first match !

Captains this week was James Hatton and Rhys Crehan .

Rhys Crehan did really well this week on captaining the side. he was leading by example this week .he was running hard with ball and trying to make sure everyone did as they should. well done Rhys !

James Hatton , James aka Tommy Mac , had another strong game again this week . He was shouting at players to get on there defensive line , he was trying his best to get players to break the defence of culcheth so Pilks could score. again an amazing performance from James ! certainly took on the role of captain this week. well done Tommy Mac !

Man of the match went to Aaron king , This was an easy choice this week , Aaron ran hard all match ! his tackling was outstanding , which he topped it all off with his first try for under 7s. LIttle lad with the heart of a lion! there was no way anyone was stopping Aaron today , amazing in defence and attack. I couldn't ask for anymore than you gave me , perfect game Aaron well done !

Tackler of the match went to no other than Rhys Crehan , Rhys is only a little lad but certainly stood out to me and Darren this week! he was tackling a lot bigger lads. never took a backwards step . two tackles in particular that stood out to us was on his own line , the lads was a lot bigger than Rhys but he stood strong and pushed both lads back and stopped culcheth from scoring. No one was getting in the way of Rhys gaining tackler of this match this week. he came on the field full of confidence and that shown. well done Rhys all your hard work is paying off ! this week was your best game by far , keep it up !

Parents choice went to no surprise here , Leighton Glover , nothing Leighton does surprises me after I seen him play last week and at training. he is full of confidence and belief in his self and this certainly shows when he's playing. he's in every tackle and was high up on the tackle count again this week. when he runs he runs strong and doesn't give any side an easy ride of things. Leighton doesn't let anything phase him. he is going from strength to strength , super performance to watch! Well done Leighton keep up the good work !

Coaches choice went to Isaac Heyes , Issac is a strong lad , but he has such a gentle and kind heart that he doesn't want to hurt anyone. This week Isaac stood out to me and Darren for his strong running with the ball. one run that stood out in particular , he ran onto the ball , kept running forward he had 4 lads on him but he kept pushing and pushing which made it very difficult for culcheth to put him down. Isaac came on the pitch knowing he wanted an award this week. He gave it his all and gained his self that award. well done Isaac your best performance this week , keep it up !

Let's not forget , Josh Larkin , Bryn Edwards, , Ethan Cowin , Ethan Cranny , Lewis Taylor , Dylan Greenall , Jacob Davies , Joseph Morris , Zak Atherton , Billy Traynor , George Edmundson , Josh Hunt , Noah Heaton Roman smith and Tyler Robinson. Again you all had an amazing game this week. You all give me 100%.you are all working your little socks off to bring it to the field every week , you all should be proud of yourselfs !!! Well done lads keep up the good work !!

Thanks again to Ste Crehan for all his pictures .which is not an easy job to try and capture a child running with the ball.he brings you all the pictures week in week out , your help to the club is much appreciated !

Thanks to all the parents who take the time out to bring there kids to matches and training , your support is amazing !
