Pilks went to Chester this week.
What can I say they won 10/8 but in all honesty I don't think it was one of our best games.
It started try for try .
Pilks defence was all over the place for the first 30 minutes, it could of been the traveling time .
I will say our defence in parts was shocking equally in parts it was outstanding !

I personally thought even tho we took a loss last week our under 7s played a lot better in attack and defence !
We off loaded 23 time last week this week there was only 2 ! We wasn't running onto the ball like we was doing last week !
I know how good are under 7s are when they are at their best and this week I didn't feel we was !

Taking nothing away from all of you as you got yourselfs the win , like I said before in parts your defence was outstanding ! Taking nothing away from chester who had only 5 kids , us lending them two players , they showed some cracking skills , their defence like ours was outstanding in parts of the game !
I would just like to say thanks to Chester coaches and their parents , I think I speak for everyone when I say what an enjoyable game of rugby we had today. All parents was talking and getting behind all the kids, Chester coaches was helping pilks aswell as their own , made it a fun , enjoyable game for everyone !

Captain today Noah Heaton . Noah lead from the front with his running and tackling , he did some cracking try saving tackles !
Noah was coming from one side of the pitch to the other to do text book tackles! You had an awesome game mate well done !

Our other captain was Leighton glover , what can I say every week gives me 110% with his tackling and running . Leighton also ran his self up two tries this week . His defence was outstanding, one tackle Leighton made he slipped into and hit his face in the players chest, didn't phase him asked was he alright I got “ye" as he was running past me to get back on his wing for the next tackle! A true little warrior he is ! A cracking off load made from Leighton to max fear to send him in for a try , just stunning. Well done mate you had an awesome game !

Darren's man of the match went to max fear , Max's tackling was outstanding today , not missing one of his tackles all match , also ran in for a cracking try , outstanding back up play max , awesome game from you today mate well done !

My man of the match went to Isaac Heyes, This is the best game I have ever seen Isaac play today. His running onto the ball was just outstanding , his tackling was out of this world. If you look at his first match to now I don't need to say anything as it spoke for itself! Isaac took his run of the ball , didn't stop running taking 3 players with him , went in for his first try for pilks! Never seen a child smile so much , you would of thought it was Christmas ! Such a happy little boy who worries so much about hurting other people in tackles ! He is an absolute pleasure to coach and I'm very proud of how he has gone from an un-confident shy little boy to brimming with confidence this week ! you made me very proud , your parents very proud but more than anything you did yourself proud . Well done Isaac you had a stormer of a game !

Parents choice went to no other than Aaron King , Aaron these last three weeks has been outstanding , he is a very quiet boy but certainly lets his ability to play rugby do the talking for him ! His running with the ball was outstanding and his defence was just awesome ! Aaron also went in for a cracking try this week for pilks ! You had a stormer this week and you fully deserved your award! Proud of you !

Bravery Award went to Ethan Cranny , this little lad comes every week and plays his heart out , he takes some massive hits and never lets this phase him ! Today he took another massive hit , just got back up and carried on like nothing had happened ! True little “pilks warrior” well done mate you had a fab game ! Proud of you !

I just want to do a couple of mentions!

Zak atherton , played his first 20 minutes for Chester gladiators and his last 20 minutes for pilks! I have to say how outstanding your defence was for Chester , was just stunning you was all over the place making some awesome tackles ! Your time with pilks was exactly the same ! Your defence today mate was outstanding , you was so unlucky today mate , managing to get yourself over the try line , just not being able to ground the ball! you had a stormer of a game well done little fella keep it up ! Proud of you !

Josh larkin, you had your best game today mate, you ran really well with the ball , taking some big hits but you kept hold and didn't throw it away !
You was getting stuck into tackles and giving some good defence for pilks , well done mate was lovely to see you so involved , keep it up, you was very unlucky not to gain yourself an award this week ! Proud of you !

Harvey Cathcart , always give his best and today was no different , well done Harvey !

Well this was the last match now for a few weeks with summer holidays , you can all be really proud of yourself on how far you have come from your very first match. we have seen some stunning rugby being played from all the U7's ! More than anything for me is seeing how far the kids have come , how far you have all pushed yourselfs. You have all gone through your own little journeys and I can say I am absolutely proud of each and everyone of you ! We have had some laughs , some tears , some tantrums, some self doubting, tested my patience at times , I'm sure I have tested yours as well ha , but at the end of it all we have little super stars who give me their all ! I couldn't ask for a better bunch of lads you are all my reason for waking up every day with a smile on my face !! I can't say enough how proud I am of all of you ! I can't wait for the summer holidays to be over and my “pilks warriors" back on that pitch doing what they love most , playing rugby ! Thanks to all the parents who have brought their kids to matches so far this season !
