Pilks under 7s had their first match back this week playing away to Leigh miners. The kids this week came back, got on the pitch and played like they have never had a break and been playing a few seasons together. When we have only had one season as a team and haven't had a game since last season ended!
The kids did everyone proud today! We had a couple of injuries, a few decisions that didn't go our way but over all the kids enjoyed their selfs and had fun! They was awesome in defence and attack. More than anything this week what stood out for our u7s was how we worked as a team and everyone helped each other out! I have to praise the kids on how well behaved they was on and off the pitch! We had a 10/9 win and Leigh miners having down they won 10/9 the fairest thing to do was call a draw! You came back with a bang this week lads and I'm excited for the season ahead with you all!

Rhys Crehan, Rhys was one of our captains this week, Rhys came back where he left off last season And had a cracking first game. Rhys always captains the side well and certainly leads by example, His defence was solid and made some awesome one on one tackles, he wasn't allowing Leigh to get over that try line on his side! Rhys got his self over the try line to be called in touch ( again a try I would of given), I believe Rhys also got his self hurt this week but being the little trooper he is he didn't even tell Anyone and just got on with it. you had an awesome first game Rhys well done!!

Man of the match went to Josh crilly, Josh was awesome in all aspects this week. He was putting in some cracking tackles. He got the ball and he was just off, I have never seen him run so quick but it payed off he made some brilliant breaks one in particular that he went nearly full length but just got put into touch, was very unlucky but a cracking break! He persevered though and got his self his first try of the season! Well done Josh u had an awesome game!

Top tackler went to Jacob Davies, Jacob had a cracking game and put in some outstanding one on one tackles which was also a few try savers! Jacob went and racked his self up an awesome hat trick this week! Full of confidence and it shows in how he plays, just a little natural soon as he picks up that rugby ball! Well done Jacob You had an awesome first game!

Parents choice went to Dylan Greenall who also was one of our captains this week Dylan was also up for man of the match as he had an outstanding game this week and did his self proud! He's come back and listened to everything I have asked! He was offloading the ball, he made some super one on one tackles and stopped Leigh racking up them tries! His attack was brilliant and got his self a nice little try! Well done Dylan you had an awesome first game!

Bravery award went to Lewis Taylor, Lewis gained this award as he got hurt within the first five minutes! He came off after hurting his knee but wanted to go back on, after going back on Lewis had to be brought back off! Even tho he only played a few minutes this week, when he was on his tackling was awesome! So much so that coaches from the opposition commented how it was a shame he had to go off as his stepping and balance to get his self down the wing and score and his tackling why he was on was brilliant! Scored his self two tries this week but did have one called short ( which I would of given!) never mind get back to it next week, brilliant first game for the time you was on !

Ethan bold, Ethan was brilliant in defence and made some cracking breaks through getting his self not one but two tries this week! Getting his self a cut lip in the bargain! Well done Ethan awesome first game!

Harry Williams, Harry ran strong with the ball and was equally as strong in defence, he helped his team when they needed him and was unlucky not to score! Well done Harry awesome first game!

Dan Keogh, Dan always gives me his best, never lets his team down and put in some awesome defence and helped stop that score line racking up even higher! Dan missed out on runs this week with being 10 tries and the ball kept getting turned over his run always got missed! Don't worry little one we will sort that out for next week! Well done Dan awesome first game!

Josh Larkin, Josh had a stormer of a game this week. He was getting stuck into tackles but more than anything he was awesome in attack! Josh made a break and got his self over the try line but was pulled back as just losing control ( a try which could of been given). Never the less Josh has come back this season full of confidence and working as a team! well done Josh awesome first game!

Ellis Carsley, Ellis has come back this season even better! These hand offs are awesome and causing a lot of problems for the opposition! Ellis was also brilliant in defence making a few try saving tackles! Well done Ellis awesome first game!

Zak Atherton, Zak was working as a team this week and made his fair share of tackles! He was brilliant running with the ball! The thing I did notice with Zak this game was his head didn't go down and he kept on pushing for that line! lost a little bit of time this week, don't worry that will be made up next week! Well done Zak awesome first game!

Isaac Heyes, Isaac was strong running with the ball and was there when his team
Needed him helping out. Isaac did some brilliant offloads this week which helped pilks get the tries! Well done Isaac awesome first game!

Joseph Morris, Joseph was brilliant in defence this week and was always straight in helping his team out, his attack was equally as strong, scoring his first try of the season! Joseph did come up for parents choice this week! Well done Joseph awesome first game!

Bryn Edwards, bryn was strong in defence and was helping his team out when they needed him. He was strong in attack and was unlucky not to score! well done bryn awesome first game!

Logan Parr, Logan ran strong and hard with the ball and went in for a brilliant try in the corner! In defence he was there to help his team when needed! Well done Logan awesome first game!

As I have already said for the first game we have played since last season ended we was fantastic! Every single child played as a team and we seen just how much U7s have bonded and more than anything all are friends!

Well done lads you did me and Alan proud!!
