Today Pilks was at home against Widnes moorfield, a lovely day for a game of rugby!
I thought Pilks today had an outstanding game, we all worked together, offloads was being made, 2/3 players going in for a tackle and plenty of tries.

Again this week we did 3 sets of 7 minutes, each child having at least 14 minutes game time, which worked perfectly! I know a couple didn't get as many runs as some, it's hard when the score line is high, game time though the way it's being done is working and I'm glad parents are noticing this also!

Defensively can't fault the lads they was outstanding! Today Pilks U7s showed fantastic team work and showed we aren't one man rugby!! Well done lads can't fault your attack, your defence but more than anything you all playing for each other!

Today's win was about every single child on the pitch who all put in everything they had for the team and it payed off, you came away with a win and gave your parents your best game of the season so far!

Making his debut today was Aidan houghton, Aidan was absolutely awesome for his first game, he was brilliant in defence and made some cracking one on one tackles, his attack was equally as strong and was always there backing His team up. was so unlucky not to make it over the try line! This didn't go un noticed by the parents who picked Aidan for their award! Fantastic first game Aidan well done!

Our captains today was, Ellis Carsley, Ellis is having a stormer of a season so far, took a run made a cracking hand off broke the Widnes defence and just got caught, unlucky Ellis! He was always in tackles helping his team out when they needed him. you are making massive improvements every week! Well done Ellis brilliant game!

Our second captain was Jacob Davies, Jacob lead from the front and was outstanding in defence making some awesome one on one tackles which turned out to be a few try savers! Jacob made two clean breaks today an finished both over the try line gaining him a well deserved man of the Match, well done Jacob brilliant game!

Top tackler went to Lewis Taylor, Lewis was outstanding in defence making some fantastic try savers on lads a lot bigger than him! Lewis' goal line defence this week was faultless! He managed to step his way over the try line for a great try this week! Well done Lewis fantastic game!

Coaches choice went to Ethan bold, Ethan has been pushing for a trophy for the last couple of weeks if I'm honest as he has been awesome in attack and his defence is getting just as solid as weeks go on, Today was no different, brilliant game in attack and defence and went over for an awesome try! Well done Ethan fantastic game!

Leighton glover, Leighton again this week was outstanding in defence! Making some awesome try savers! Leighton went crashing over the try line for a brilliant try from half way line! Leighton today made a break had the ball knocked out of his hands, you didn't get frustrated you simply got up and played the ball straight away, proud of you! Leightons game this week didn't go un-noticed by Widnes moorfield who's coaches came to me and said their player of the Match was no 9 the really blonde haired lad ha! Well done Leighton fantastic game!

Rhys Crehan, Rhys was awesome in defence this week and made some brilliant one on one tackles, Rhys was first in helping his team mates when they needed that extra push in defence, always runs solid with the ball and today was no different, made a cracking break but just got caught short of the line. Fantastic game Rhys well done!

Zak Atherton, Zak this week made a cracking break and I thought we was going to see him go over but he just got caught. Zak is coming on in leaps and bounds with his confidence and running with the ball with ease, he's been making some awesome breaks this season! His defence today he moved up with his team mates and helped out when he could! Well done Zak fantastic game!

Josh Larkin, Josh this week was off loading the ball straight away on his run so wasn't getting chance to attack the line, I had a word and finally Josh took his run and made a brilliant break, just getting caught near the try line, unlucky Josh! Fantastic game Well done Josh!

Dylan Greenall, Dylan was fantastic in attack This week, Dylan managed to get over the try line twice this week, his first try made a cracking break, ran down the wing and went over for a brilliant try. Dylans second try came from an offload off Isaac Heyes and went in, in the corner! Well done Dylan fantastic game!

Bryn Edwards, bryn was awesome with his goal line defence this week, stopping Widnes getting over that try line! Some cracking try savers! Well done bryn fantastic game!

Joseph Morris, Joseph was awesome in defence this week making some cracking try savers, was equally as solid in defence and went over for a brilliant try after making a break and racing down the wing! Well done Joseph fantastic game!

Dylan finney, Dylan was brilliant in defence this week and was always there helping his team mates on their own try line stopping Widnes racking up the tries, was equally as strong in attack this week! Well done Dylan fantastic game!

Harry Williams, Harry had a great game in attack this week and managed to get his self over that try line for a fantastic try! Made a couple of brilliant breaks after this but just getting caught short! Fantastic game Harry well done!

Zack Kilgannon, Zack was brilliant in attack this week and defence! Zack made a fantastic break and went crashing over the try line. Zack also made another cracking break, seen he wasn't going to break the defence for a second time made a cracking pass to Josh Crilly sending him over, awesome Zack! Was equally as strong in defence and made some brilliant one on one tackles! Well done Zack fantastic team work!

Josh Crilly, Josh had a fantastic game again this week and was brilliant to see him working as a team and helping his mates out when they needed him in defence! Josh made some fantastic breaks this week was just unlucky to get caught near the line! Josh did manage to get over that try line with an awesome off load from Zack Kilgannon and went over in the corner! Fantastic team work well done Josh!

Dan Keogh, Dan had a brilliant game in defence this week and was making some great try saving tackles with his team mates, some fantastic team work on display this week! Was great in attack but just couldn't manage to get over that try line! Fantastic game Dan well done!

Logan Parr, Logan ran strong today and had another brilliant game in defence, was straight in there helping his team when needed and did make a couple of one on one tackles, fantastic game Logan well done!

Isaac Heyes, Isaac ran well this week with the ball and managed to get a pass away to Dylan Greenall sending him over for a great try! Well done Isaac fantastic team work! Well done!

All the kids this week showed some fantastic team work and showed us all just how awesome they are as a team but more than anything you seen this week that its a team who have played a season together and made some cracking friends along the way!! Well done lads me & Alan are proud of you all!
