Team effort!

Pilks went all the way over to Eccles this week to play Salford roosters.
Every single child played their socks off today. everyone contributing to the team and getting the win this week.
Pilks won 12/5 but this doesn't reflect just how well of a defence Salford had especially in the first half and how much we put in to holding them to just five tries.
Some one on one tackles Salford and us was putting in was just awesome!
Pilks on a few occasions loved going down the short side and was just getting bundled into touch.
This week every single child played half a game and again it worked.
Salford far from gave Pilks an easy ride but we stood up and gave an awesome defensive performance! In one of the sets of kids Salford only managed to get one try past them all game, Pilks defence was solid!

Today's captains was Zack Kilgannon, Zack did a brilliant job at being captain and even went back on to make the numbers up! for the last couple of weeks zack has been pushing for a trophy and today gained coaches choice! Zack has been making some awesome breaks and today was no different just getting caught short by inches of the try line! His defence has been fantastic since starting back this season and has certainly got his confidence back and displaying some fantastic rugby! Well done Zack brilliant game!

Our other captain was Dylan finney, Dylan is improving week by week and made a brilliant break this week just couldn't get over that line! In defence he is always up there helping his team and making some great tackles! Well done Dylan brilliant game!

Man of the match went to Dan Keogh, Dan was also up there for parents choice again this week! Dan had a fantastic game in defence and made some awesome one on one tackles! His attack was equally as solid, managing to break Salford defence, ran down the wing, just getting caught before the try line, this didn't stop Dan as his next run made another fantastic break ran down the wing and dove over in the corner and we have the fantastic picture to go with it, awesome! Well done Dan brilliant game!

Top tackler went to Josh Crilly, Josh was another child who came up for parents choice this week! Josh has been fantastic since starting back this season but this week his defence really stood out, he was first off his line making some fantastic one on one tackles, for a little lad he doesn't half put in some hits! Josh is equally as strong in attack and made some fantastic breaks one in particular that seen Josh breaking free and going over for a fantastic try! Your defence is what impressed the coaches this week Josh you was awesome! Well done Josh brilliant game!

Parents choice went to Ellis Carsley, Ellis had another brilliant game this week! Ellis is making some fantastic breaks, one in particular yesterday that seen Ellis run down the wing, making a cracking hand off just getting caught in touch was very unlucky! What impressed us coaches was how you didn't give up and you kept pushing for that try line!! This didn't go un noticed by the parents who chose you for their choice this week! You had a brilliant game well done Ellis!

Joseph Morris gained his self an hat trick this week, with some awesome display of attack! One of Joseph's tries came from a cracking off load by Josh Larkin. Joseph is always up there on parents choice award with some ferocious defence! His rugby this season is just stunning to watch! Well done Joseph brilliant game!

Jacob Davies, Jacob this season you can guarantee give him the ball and he is going over that try line! He turns the defence inside out! His defence this week was awesome he made some fantastic one on one tackles into touch which was brilliant try savers! Jacob went over the try line for two tries again this week! Well done Jacob brilliant game!

Rhys Crehan, Rhys again this week had a brilliant game in defence and was making some fantastic one on one tackles, Rhys saved a few tries on his wing, bundling Salford into touch! Rhys made a cracking break down the wing, just getting caught inches before the line! This didn't stop Rhys and he managed to step his way over the try line for a brilliant try in the corner. Well done Rhys brilliant game!

Leighton glover, Leighton has come to matches these last couple of weeks a totally different child, he's been the Leighton who played last season and has the perfect attitude on the pitch and this has shown in his rugby game! His defence has always been awesome and today was no different, Leighton went over for a brilliant try this week, well done Leighton brilliant game!

Dylan Greenall, Dylan was great again this week in attack making a couple of great breaks, his first just putting a foot in touch his second he went over the try line! Dylan Helped his team out when needed in defence. Well done Dylan brilliant game!

Lewis Taylor, Lewis made a fantastic break there was some fantastic foot work, players was all over him on more than one occasion but how I have no idea he managed to brush them off and go in for a try in the corner! Some fantastic defence as always this week. Well done Lewis brilliant game!

Bryn Edwards, bryn was awesome in defence this week, making some fantastic one on one tackles on the wing! Was equally as fantastic in attack and went over for a cracking try in the corner! Well done bryn brilliant game!

Logan Parr, Logan in defence was awesome today, he made in one set 5 out of 6 tackles on the bounce which was on his own line, holding Pilks defence solid! We need you to keep these tackles nice and low! You had an brilliant game this week Logan well done!

Harry Williams, Harry was great in defence again this week helping his team when ever needed, made a couple of brilliant breaks but couldn't manage to get over that try line! Brilliant game Harry well done!

Isaac Heyes, Isaac this week impressed us with how he didn't stop when players came at him, he kept pushing forward for that try line! Well done Isaac brilliant game!

Josh Larkin, Josh this week was great in attack, he managed to take his run and have a good go rather than off loading straight away. what impressed me this week with Josh was how he took his run, drew the players in around him and made a cracking off load to Joseph Morris leaving it clear for him to go over for a try! Absolutely awesome pass Josh! Well done Josh brilliant game!
