Pilks went to blackbrook this week after having our fixture cancelled blackbrook kindly offered to play us, a massive thanks goes to Gaz who fit us in at such short notice and gave us a brilliant game of rugby for all involved.

Brook had some fantastic skill in their team, their ball passing skills was awesome! They was up and played the ball quick and off loads was from player to player which pilks struggled to deal with and brook came up with the points!
On attack pilks wasn't up and playing the ball quick like normal, we was all bunching around the ball arguing who's run it was. The difference between us and brook yesterday was they didn't care who's run it was and they played the ball quick, passed it along the line and came up with a try, on one pass in particular from brook that was passed from one side of the wing all the way over to the other, our defence was still over on the original wing and brook came up with an awesome try, this is the best ball passing skills I have seen from any U7s team!

Brook was a lot more switched on than us yesterday and it showed in the performance. Our lads did work their socks off and in parts there was some outstanding defence and attack. Brook played a tough 40 minutes and proved to strong for us!

This was a brilliant game for us to play as it tested us in all areas, the kids got plenty game time and as there wasn't many tries there was plenty runs! It was a tough game played in high spirits!

Making their debut today and one of captains was Elliott Davies, Elliott is only a little lad but has a lot of heart, he came into the team with one of our toughest fixtures but he stood his ground and had no fear, he was first up there getting hold of brooks biggest player! Elliott ran strong and hard with the ball and was always looking for the off load! You did every single U7s proud and for ur first game you was outstanding!

Our other captain was Lewis Taylor, Lewis came up against his best friend from school Harvey. Lewis was quiet at the start of the match but soon got going and put in some outstanding one on one tackles, one in particular that he lined up brooks biggest player, took him round the legs and into touch, awesome! Lewis was all about defence today and walked away with a well deserved top tacker award! Well done Lewis fantastic game!

Man of the match went to Dylan finney, Dylan We thought had his best game of the season so far, he was strong in attack, making plenty meters for his team. Dylan's defence is what caught the eye of the coaches as he put in a full shift, he was all over the pitch and made some fantastic one on one try savers, he really did put his body on line for his team this week and walked away with a well deserved man of the match! Well done Dylan fantastic game!

Parents choice award went to Leighton glover, Leighton was awesome as always in defence and made some cracking one on one tackles, one in particular he drove brook back at least 10 meters. His attack was equally as strong and Leighton went over for a cracking try in the corner! Leighton certainly put in a lot of work for his team this week and walked away with a well deserved parents choice!

Coaches choice went to Dylan Greenall, We all know Dylan can score tries, it was his defence I have been asking Dylan to step up, this week Dylan did exactly that, he went over for a cracking try in the corner but it was his defence that caught the eye of the coaches as he was first up there getting hold of brook so then his team cud come and help him out! This was your best performance in defence so far this season and for that you walked away with a well deserved coaches choice award!

Coaches choice award went to Ellis Carsley, Ellis we thought had a fantastic game in attack and defence. He came off the pitch absolutely shattered after putting in a very strong shift against his class mates at school! Ellis had said he was prepared for this game and it certainly showed in his performance, he put in some fantastic one on one tackles and ran for his life in attack, walking away with a well deserved coaches choice award!

Logan parr, Logan was awesome in defence and made some massive superb hits, he certainly stepped up his defence this week, also running strong in attack!

Jacob Davies, Jacob took a few unlucky hits this week and got hurt but he got up every time and carried on for his team, Jacob ran strong with the ball, using that strong hand off he went over for a cracking try!
