Pilks went to Chorley this week having large numbers Chorley kindly agreed to run two games for us, Chorley to be fair did everything possible to make sure every child got the best from the games yesterday and we can't thank them enough, brilliant coaches!

I heard how 7/7 kids scored in one of the games and 6/12 scored in another game, I will give credit for a try as every child works for it but it's not about that for me.
What it is about for me was how each child played for each other, the kids was seeing the gaps and getting the ball out to the player to take the gap on, each child was cheering each other on, every single one of them was reading the game, their defence was in pairs and they all was improving in every single second of their time on the pitch! Massive improvements all round today, All my 19 lads played as a team and put in a fantastic performance for pilks and more than anything all came off with smiles on their faces!

I totally understand parents frustration yesterday with one game sharing their time and another not, especially when both games are being compared, we did this to make it as easy as possible for Alan as he has only ran a couple of games on his own. I thought this was the best to do, so all the kids could enjoy their game with out any hiccups, there is no need to compare games, compare kids or performances as me and Alan did the two games to make it the best possible playing time for the kids, not for parents to divide the team and compare them, every child is U7s, so please bare this in mind they are only 7 years of age and are happy to play the game with their friends not get involved in politics!

Captain was Elliott Davies, Elliott certainly stood up to his captain roll yesterday and put in an outstanding performance considering he was playing kids older than him! Elliott made a fantastic run stepping players and managing to make some awesome meters for his team, in defence he stood up and was counted and put in a superb performance for Pilks U7s. He's loving every single second of playing rugby!
You did us all proud well done Elliott!

With one game having 12 players and the other game having 7 we thought it was only fair for the bigger game to have the 3 awards!

Man of the match went to Logan Parr, Logan has been outstanding for the last few weeks for pilks his confidence is certainly on a high and he's loving every minute of his rugby and it's certainly showing! Logan not only played for pilks this week but played for Chorley as well! Logan put in some super attack and made some cracking breaks for his team, he managed to not only go over for a brilliant try in the corner he made a cracking break looked for the man and made an awesome pass to Lewis Taylor to send him over for a try. The pass was just awesome considering u had players all over you! In defence Logan was awesome and putting some big hits for pilks and Chorley this week, this all added up to Logan walking away with a well deserved man of the match award! You did us all proud well done Logan!

Coaches choice went to Dan Keogh, Dan had an awesome game this week, put in some fantastic attack and managed to get his self a cracking hat trick for pilks this week. Dan put in some ferocious tackles and his best game I've seen him play for pilks this week, well done you had an outstanding game! You did us all proud well done Dan!

Top tackler was Joint this week with Shay Varkulis & Lewis Taylor, the reason I shared this award was these lads worked together to make some outstanding tackles, one lad went up top and the other would go around the legs stopping Chorley getting that pass out, both lads also put in some cracking one on one tackles so I didn't think it would of been fair to give either the award when both topped the tackle count! Lewis also went over for two cracking tries this week, This all added up to both lads walking away with top tackler award! Well done lads you did us all proud!

Isaac Heyes not only put a full half a game for Chorley but he went crashing over for his very first try for pilks this week, picked up a loose pass he kept running, didn't give up and took Chorley over the line with him! Awesome Isaac well done. You did us all proud!

Ethan bold, i wanted to give Ethan some extra game time and runs this week as he's not been his self these last couple weeks and I wanted to get him some confidence back in the game. I think this worked as he was helping his team out when ever they needed him, made a cracking break making plenty meters for his team. Well done Ethan awesome, you did us all proud!

Josh Larkin, Josh ran well with the ball and helped his team out in defence when needed, Josh did manage to get to the line and we thought he was going to get his first try for pilks but he decided to pass instead, no one can ever doubt your sportsman ship to your team mates! Well done Josh awesome, you did us all proud!

Ellis Carsley, Ellis is putting in some strong defence, helping his team in every tackle and also going for a lot more one on one tackles! Ellis ran strong with the ball seen the gap went for the line but just managed to get caught, it doesn't matter you didn't go over what is pleasing is you spotted the gap and you went for it, improving every week and that's what it's about,
well done Ellis awesome game, you did us all proud!

Bryn Edwards, bryn helped his team in defence when needed today and put in a cracking one on one try saver! Bryn ran strong with ball and made plenty meters for his team. Well done bryn awesome game, you did us proud!

Jacob Davies, Jacob wasn't feeling his usual self this week but this takes nothing away that he went over for two cracking tries and put in some outstanding try saving tackles! Well done Jacob awesome, you did us all proud!

Dylan Greenall, Dylan helped his team in defence when they needed him, put in a strong attack and went over for a cracking two tries this week, was going for his hat trick but just Managed to get caught! Dylan also played the last five minutes for Chorley and put in a brilliant performance for them! Well done Dylan awesome, you did us all proud!

Today pilks travelled to chorley panthers on a sunny day pilks squad turned up in numbers so we ran 2 games. Todays captain was leighton glover he was first receiver, making sure kids could run off him. when the game started for some reason dont no why pilks started off slow and chorley scored first try, so pilks rolled up there sleeves and knuckled down into some excellent defence During the game. I noticed a pattern of play pilks were passing the ball a long the line and they started playing like a team On the score sheet first was leighton glover took the line on well and scored for pilks his defence all way through the game was brilliant with Rhys crehan Aidan houghton Zak Atherton Dylan Finney Harry williams Joseph Morris all contributed in good solid defence But the passing of the ball to one another put each player on the score sheet It was end to end rugby at 10 all. There was one last set for pilks using there initiative pilks passed the ball along the line to Rhys crehan absolutely brilliant foot work taking on the chorley defence using his side steping skill to score the winning try for Pilks! 11pts to 10 pts It was a brilliant performance from every player. Today's coaches choices went to leighton glover and Harry Williams!
