Pilks went over to hindley this week after a few weeks off from our summer break.

Pilks started off slow but soon picked up their game.

We have a brilliant set of lads at U7s who always encourage and support one another when ever it's needed, considering we have such a large squad, U7s really is a full team effort and all pull one another through!

There was some outstanding defence, especially on line defence, some awesome off loads and super trys made!

For our first game back I thought the lads give it their best and stood up when it was needed, I couldn't be prouder of each and every one of you!

Captains was, bryn Edwards. Bryn made a few awesome one on one tackles and ran strong in attack, a shame his game came to an end early with a nose bleed but was awesome when he was on the field. Well done bryn brilliant first game back!

Captain was, Joseph Morris. Joseph was awesome this week passing the ball around for his team, managed to go over for a brilliant try for his self as well. In defence he was up there helping his team when they needed him. Well done Joseph brilliant first game back!

Man of the match went to Aidan houghton, Aidan to be honest is one of our most consistent players every week, he not only played and scored a fantastic try for us, he did for hindley as well. I asked him to start passing the ball about for me and he did everything I asked! Aidan also put in some awesome one on one tackles for Pilks this week! This was one of your best games I have seen u play, Walking away with a well deserved man of the match award! Well done Aidan brilliant first game back!

Parents choice went to Leighton glover, Leighton had an outstanding Game in defence for Pilks this week, in one set he made at least 4/6 of the tackles on the bounce which I have to say was some fantastic hits! Leighton was also good in attack scoring two brilliant tries, but his defence is what impressed us coaches and the parents this week! This is by far one of your best games To date, Well done Leighton brilliant first game back!

Top tackler went to Lewis Taylor, Lewis was one of the first off his line in to make the tackle, chasing and driving players back one on one was just outstanding! Lewis' on line defence was awesome making some cracking try savers! I think to be honest in defence this was one of Lewis' best games! In attack Lewis was strong and went over for a brilliant try, also attacked the line and made an awesome pass to Dan Keogh sending him over in the corner! Well done Lewis brilliant first game back!

Coaches choice went to Logan parr, I ask Logan to take the ball and run it up hard and he does everything I ask of him, Logan makes some cracking breaks and when he sees that try line in sight he can certainly shift! Going over for two awesome tries for us this week! Logan makes some outstanding meters for his team and puts his heart and soul into every touch of the ball, be that defence or attack and is certainly coming into his own as a forward this season, it's lovely to see his confidence growing and his love for the game shows with the smile on his face! Well done Logan brilliant first game back!

Coaches choice went to Zak Atherton, I know with Zak it's all about confidence and I know his confidence has taken a knock these last few weeks, having spoken to Zak we got that head back up off the floor and he came back with a bang this week! Zak we thought had a brilliant game in defence and made a few cracking one on one tackles! Zak took his run seen a gap ran for it and dove over the line for a cracking try! When we manage to get Zak to believe in his self like we do him, his game is awesome, keep up the good work Zak was lovely to see that cheeky smile! Brilliant first game back Zak well done!

Ellis carsley, Ellis decided to fall over this week( it was a slip I just helped slightly) i blame his mum putting us all off shouting come on Ellis (ha)! Ellis had a brilliant game this week, his attack was strong and did everything I asked, making plenty meters for his team. In defence Ellis made a few one on one tackles making sure hindley couldn't slip through! Well done Ellis fantastic first game back!

Shay varkulis, shay was fantastic in attack and ran the ball up strong, making plenty meters for his team, went crashing over for a fantastic try in the corner! Shays defence is what impresses the coaches with his no fear attitude and the amount of work he puts in for his team, he is always first up there covering that ball so his team can come in and help him out! Shay put in quite a few one on one tackles this week which was some fantastic try savers! I don't think watching from the side lines we see just how much work this little lad puts in, his determination week in week out is relentless! Well done shay fantastic first game back!

Isaac Heyes, Isaac went and helped hindley for us this week for some of the match and had a brilliant game, he went crashing over the line for a fantastic try for them! In defence he helped his team when ever they needed him! Isaac certainly is the gentle giant and is always willing to do the best for his team! Isaac is a lovely lad with a massive heart!

Ethan bold, Ethan was strong in attack and made plenty meters for his team, in defence he made a few brilliant one on one tackles, this was one of Ethan best games.

Dan Keogh, Dan had a brilliant game in attack and went over for two tries in the corners, one try from half way straight through hindley defence, his second coming from a brilliant offload from Lewis Taylor sending him over in the corner. Dan put in a few cracking one on one tackles this week. Well done Dan brilliant first game back!

Harry Williams. Harry ran strong with ball and helped his team out in defence when needed. Well done Harry brilliant first game back!

Can I just mention, playing rugby is about the kids learning how to play the game and having fun along the way, we all lose the element of fun when parents are shouting on the pitch regarding not having runs or other kids having more. Parents please give me chance until the end of the game before airing your issues/opinions from the side lines, if by the end of the game you are still unhappy for some reason then by all means give me a ring when I get home, all that is happening is kids are getting upset. We have spoken before regarding this, Let the kids be kids and enjoy the game, support and encourage every child on that pitch please.
