..

Pilks went over to thatto Heath this week, we knew having played thatto in a festival that they're a very well coached team. I firstly would like to thank Phil for making the two games possible, making it a really
Enjoyable day not just the kids but the parents too. The kids came off this week beaming with confidence, which I have to say a lot came from Phil who was encouraging and supporting the lads along the way.

We was changing the lads around at half time, after all the coaches speaking we thought it would be best that the kids stayed at their own levels, which seeing the lads after the game proved we made the right choice!

Alan first.

Today in the fixture pilks were invited to play thatto Heath away and as usual pilks turned up in numbers so we ran 2 games. my team we have a warm up going through the running drills before the game and the boys did well. Todays captain was Dylan Greenall Dylan lost the toss and Heath elected to Defend wich was unusual but pilks didnt complain so it was pilks attacked. The line was set and the ball was passed along the line to Dylan greenall and he raced in for the first Try great team effort and thats what i wanted to see the ball passed out Dylan scored another 2 trys and defended well then he was transferd over to the other team Well done today Dylan you did your team proud. Ive got to say the team steped up a gear With there defence and attack and one of those lads was Zack killganon great in defence and support play and scored a decent 3 trys and yet again the ball was passed through the team for him to score Well done zak , Thatto heath had a mixture of 2nd teams and newbies and they made pilks work for there trys and they also defended well at times but pilks knuckled down and also defended at least 4 sets of tackles and stoped heath from scoreing brilliant work. other try scores was dylan finney strong runner and scored a great try also defended well another lad played well zak atherton good in defence and support play and scored 2 trys well done zak Great performance Josh larkin this lad has come on leaps and bounds and he has learned to run straight at the opposition and he certainly did that scoreing a great hatrick and also defended well Well done josh. Ethan Bold had an outstanding game ran strong defended well scored a great try and contributed in some good support play . Rhys crehan this lad is certainly going to be a potential stand off his foot work is outstanding in my opinion and he has the team running off him on numerous occasions and in his game cheekily sneaked in for a nice Try That was good work today Rhys. Another good player Harry Williams this lad was involved in everything defence attack support play and scored a nice try well done harry. Elliot Davies this lad is only little but hes not feared of anything hes a little work horse and pulled off some great defence he wasnt on the score sheet but his bravery said it all for me well done little fella. Today coaches choice Award was earnd by josh larkin and he had an oustanding game with zak atherton getting the other coaches choice Award. well done boys you Deliverd today Ive got to say that i have that team when we play these types of games. They are improving in certain areas and its a Great challenge for me to work with these lads and its great to be associated with it i would like to thank mark williams for the interchanges its appreciated.

Well it sounds like you all had a fantastic game well done lads, you all do U7s proud!

Mine now.

Captain today was Ellis carsley, Ellis playing against his school friend we gave him captain this week, Ellis had a really good game in defence helping his team when they needed him, in attack ellis ran strong with the ball making plenty meters for his team! Fantastic work today ellis well done!

Man of the match went to Aidan Houghton. Aidan I thought had a fantastic game in defence this week, making some brilliant try saving tackles, in attack Aidan went over for two awesome tries this week, could of been more but he did all I asked and got the ball out to his team mates, this is what is impressing with Aidan these last few weeks, team work!
fantastic work today aidan well done!

Top tackler went to Jacob Davies, Jacob was awesome in defence this week making some fantastic try savers, in attack Jacob was strong as always going over for 4 cracking try's!
Fantastic work today Jacob well done!

Coaches choice went to Dylan Greenall, I picked Dylan this week as he came over from one group into mine and he did have a good go in defence helping his team when they needed him, what impressed me was the off load, Dylan took the ball ran into a solid thatto defence but all credit to him got the ball out to his team mate, brilliant Dylan! Fantastic work today Dylan well done!

the lads had a brilliant game this week, Shay Varkulis again put in some fantastic defence, especially on his own line, in attack he ran strong with the ball making plenty meters for his team!
Lewis Taylor, put in some brilliant one on one tackles and went over for a fantastic try with some outstanding vision and footwork!
Logan Parr, Logan I thought had another awesome game this week, he makes some outstanding meters for his teams, this week Logan's defence was one of his best games, you are having a cracker of a season!
Dan keogh, Dan wasn't his usual self this week, he had a good go in defence and helped his team when ever they needed him, in attack he made meters for his team.
Leighton Glover, Leighton when on the pitch put in some fantastic defence, one in particular that was an awesome try saver, in attack Leighton ran strong with ball making meters for his team.
Joseph Morris, Joseph had a really good game in attack and made plenty meters for his team, also going over for a fantastic try in the corner. Joseph put in a good shift in defence and was there defending his line for his team! Awesome lads!

I just want to pick up on two things, even though the lads played well, these tantrums and arguing when getting tackled are getting more and more regular, there is nothing wrong with the tackles being made on the lads, no child intentionally goes high to hurt someone, accidents will happen. My lads are quite hilarious, they would make cracking actors, they throw them selfs on the floor like they are dying and within seconds are up and fine! I watched one of my lads get tackled yesterday nothing at all wrong with the tackle, he went down, lifted his head to complain about the tackle to the player, seen me running over, head went down, eyes closed "It was high, they hurt me" (more they was bundled into touch just before the line).
dramatic badge for you haha!

My second is shouting from the side lines of "he's in touch" I'm trying to teach the lads that the referees decision is final and when they hear their parents shouting "in touch" it doesn't help. A few times yesterday I heard "he's in touch" and a few times kids was having tantrums because try's was given. Support and encourage all the kids as much as you like but negative comments are not needed! Buying you all a gag for next season ha!

Thanks to Kellie Parr for the pictures, as always they are fantastic, plus all the help after the game. Much appreciated!

Thanks to Jacqui varkulis for all the help you give the lads on the side lines! Much appreciated!

Thanks to mark Williams for all the help with Alan, much appreciated!

Thanks to Wendy carsley for all the help after the game, much appreciated!

Thanks to all the parents for bringing their child! Much appreciated!
