Pilks hosted Wigan st Judes this week, with an early kick off it wasn't sure if all the parents I mean lads would be out of bed!

Pilks had a fantastic game today, even
Though in parts our defence was scrappy, our attack was fantastic this week. The tries are nice but not what it's about. The timed passes was just fantastic to give the players some awesome runs. We did make some superb off loads this week I have to say. The second half for me was the most enjoyable of the day as we seen the game flow and the kids just having bags of fun and the game was really enjoyable for all, I can say we have Ian worthington to thank for that as he was fantastic with our lads as well as his own, it wasn't about getting a win, it was about all the kids having as much fun as possible so I would like to thank him for a brilliant game!

As both us and Judes had a big squad we ran two games again this week.
we changed teams at half time so all the kids had a chance of playing both sets.

My write up.

Making his debut for pilks this week and captain was Ben, ben did well this week I asked him just to run straight and hard and he gave me his best, he listened to everything I asked of him and for his first game against a tough Judes side he did really well, going home with a smile on his face! Well done Ben fantastic game!

Captain also this week was Josh crilly, josh came back into rugby this week after a short spell away, I have to say he did really well, put in some fantastic attack and helped his team on defence. Did go over for what would of been a fantastic try but was called back saying the defensive line wasn't set, although this is the "rules" I thought was harsh on a child who put everything into it, could of been given! Well done josh fantastic game!

Man of the match went to Lewis Taylor, Lewis had an outstanding game, he made some awesome timed off loads, also went over for two brilliant try's, one in particular where he thrown the dummy and stepped his way through Judes defence, in defence he made some fantastic one on one tackles, picking up compliments from Judes coach and parents was fantastic! Well done Lewis fantastic game!

Coaches choice went to Shay Varkulis, shay gained my choice this week as week in week out he puts in some awesome defence and today was no different, attack is what impressed me with shay this week, he ran strong with ball making some fantastic meters for his team, shay was looking for the gaps and taking on the Judes defence gaining his self a cheeky try in the corner. Well done shay fantastic game!

Coaches choice went to Logan Parr,. Logan was awesome this week he put in some fantastic attack, again a brilliant pass made, Logan seen the gaps an went over for two fantastic tries from before half way was just fantastic, in defence he helped his team when needed, walking away with a well deserved coaches choice award, well done Logan fantastic game!

Also playing this week was,

Josh Larkin, josh was brilliant this week, he had some fantastic runs one in particular where he made a brilliant break but just got pushed into touch before the line, what was fantastic josh was u seen the gap and you went for it regardless of what was coming at you! In defence josh helped his team when ever they needed him but did make a super one on one! Well done josh fantastic game!

Aidan Houghton, Aidan was outstanding in defence this week, he really did put in some superb one on one tackles and made some awesome try savers. Aidan went over for a fantastic try but again his off loads was impressive, you really are a cracking little player aidan well done fantastic game!

Ellis Carsley, Ellis had a brilliant game today, in attack ellis was fantastic he ran hard with the ball and made some super meters for his team, the brilliant thing with ellis is, what ever I throw at him he gives me his best no complaints and always has a smile on his face, in defence he helped his team when they needed him. Well done ellis fantastic game!

Jacob Davies, Jacob had a brilliant game this week, he put in some fantastic defence, there was some superb try savers made by Jacob this week. In attack he went crashing over for four fantastic tries,with some super times balls and hard running! Well done Jacob fantastic game!

Dan Keogh, Dan had a brilliant game this week, he did manage to go over for a cheeky try and helped his team out in defence when needed. Dan took some cracking off loads this week the Judes defence proved too strong! He did take a couple of knocks but went back on for his team! Well done Dan fantastic game!

Today pilks entertained st judes at home on a nice sunday morning st judes turned up in numbers same as pilks and we went ahead with two games todays captain was rhys crehan Rhys as usual lead by example had his team running off him in the pilks sets he was outstanding in defence and support play and had his runs and made meters for his team well done today Rhys and you showed some good foot work as well. On the score sheet in the first quarter was Dylan Greenall speedy little character dylan took the ball on half way line and raced through the defence looking for support then realised he did enough to score him self his defence was good in some areas, not brilliant but contributed to his team he later on scored another three trys which talled up the score for his team Well done Dylan. Joseph morris had a very good game this week put his body on the line with his defence he also scored three trys in diffrent stages of the game with great foot work and selling a dummy to the opposition, he got hurt on a couple of occassions but he shrugged it off and continued to play Well Done today joseph great performance And it earned you the coaches choice award. Other try scores was Dylan finney this lad played very well today in defence Attack and polished it off with a nice two trys which earned him parents choice award well Done Big Dylan Another lad today showed some of his skills was Zack kilgannon another speedy player scored a great try i dont no how he did it but he sneaked in to score and he was unlucky during the game when he had a foot in touch which denied him of a second try he did some great defence and made meters for his team well Done Zak. Other team players Ethan Bold had a decent game today did some good defence work and attack for his team mates Well Done Ethan, Zak Atherton he was vey good in defence and also in attack he reminds of a Austraian center named Reg Gaznier on a smaller scale very tough player and well done today mate. Another little Fella Elliott Davies gives his all on the pitch and i cant ask for more contributed in some great defence and support play he took a bad high tackle and i did converse to there coach of the high shot and also said it to the pilks team keep your tackles Low like youve been shown in training i took elliot off but later on came back on hes a brave little character, and well done today Elliot. last but not least Isaac heyes this lad did everything i ask of him just drive foward and he certainly did against his opposition and made some meters for his team well done isaac. After the game i had a team talk on the pitch you all did your best today lads. there are good things and bad things in the game start with the bad things its still a bit scappy round the play the ball it needs to be passed out more and the defence is still a bit suspect your off side with the referee certain ares we need to improve on an i will be there to correct them with you. The good side of things is we are good in attack support play and some great trys have been scored by you lads, other than that well Done but room for improvement Like to thank ste for the time keeping and inter changes.

Well done lads you all do us proud every single week u play the game, me and Alan couldn't ask anymore of you!

I just want to applaud (yes unusual of me) our parents this week for supporting and encouraging EVERY child this week, was really nice to see and hear! Well done parents and thanks for bringing your child this week!
