Pilks hosted to West Bank for a tough game of rugby played in the right spirits.
This was Pilks first time with a referee and it took a lot pressure off the coaches.

Pilks in parts had some fantastic defence but we just couldn’t keep hold of the ball and West Bank took full advantage and scored nearly every time.

Credit to West Bank who turned up and put in a full 40 minutes and played a fantastic game of rugby.

Man of the match was Aidan houghton, Aidan had a fantastic game in defence and attack and was all over covering wing to wing. He ran confident with the ball and made plenty meters for his team. Aidan always gives 100% and never grumbles over anything he just loves to play rugby and is a pleasure to coach. Well done Aidan keep it up.

Tackler of the game Lewis Taylor, Lewis had been quieter than normal in defence in games so he came this week wanting to get back to his usual self and he didn’t let any of his team down, he put in a superb amount of tackles and wrapped that ball up, he did one tackle in particular that was a cracking one on one. It was nice to see you back enjoying your game and walk away with a well deserved tackler of the game. Outstanding effort in defence Lewis well done.

Parents choice was Jacob Davies, Jacob Davies really was the star of the show this week, he was up there for every trophy we have. He put his body on the line in defence and made some superb tackles and in attack his team really relied on him when they was in trouble and Jacob happily took the hard balls up and with his speed and awesome rugby Brain he managed to go over for an outstanding 5 tries. Jacob did really shine and every player and parent spoke highly of Jacob on how awesome he was this week. Well done Jacob keep up the fantastic work.

Players player went to Bryn Edwards. Bryn gave an awesome shift in defence for Pilks this week and made some superb covering tackles and 9 times out of 10 he was on his own, no one was going past him and he put his body on the line. Bryns defence this season so far is fantastic and he’s got a brilliant technique. In attack he ran strong with the ball and made plenty meters for his team. I can’t praise your defence enough this week Bryn it was superb keep it up.
