Pilks hosted to Golborne this week.
Always a fantastic fixture to play, have a great set of coaches and kids who love to play rugby!

First 10, Some great meters from Ben, Logan & Shay, quick play from Josh Crilly to Jacob Davies out ran golborne on the wing and we seen his go for a fantastic try in the corner. Crosfields soon hit back with some sloppy defence from Pilks. Great runs from harry, Kieron and Bryn who then went an gave a great ball to shay. Josh Crilly took the next and made some fantastic meters, with a quick play with ball went to Jacob who with great foot work went over for his second try!
Golborne made some fantastic meters an with a great ball to the wing went over for a fantastic try in the corner making the scores 8-8
Great running from Ben, Zak and Jacob, who gave a great ball but Pilks lost possession but Bryn soon wrapped it up with a fantastic tackle! Bryn again put in another big tackle and golborne lose possession. Great meters from Bryn & Logan who gave an awesome ball to Jacob who was there backing him up and went over for his hat trick making it 12-8 to Pilks. Golborne hit back with another great try making it 12-12. Some great meters from Kieron & Zak, next to Jacob passed to harry. Bryn ran then Logan who got the ball out to Bryn but held was already called so we was brought back. Harry made a great run, we just couldn’t keep hold, so close! Fantastic defence from Bryn, followed by did two cracking tackles from Logan, then an awesome tackle from Bryn which got the ball into touch.

Second 10. Some Simple but effective runs from Golborne and some sloppy defence from Pilks seen them go over for a great try. 16-12 to Golborne. Great running from Ellis, Shay, Dylan, Aidan , Lewis & Dylan, who thought he wasn’t tackled but quick thinking went for the try but was pulled back. Great tackling from, Aidan, Ethan, Lewis. Logan, Josh L, Ellis, Dylan, Rhys & Shay holding Golborne out in that set. Again great running from Logan, Ellis, Ethan, Lewis, Dylan G and Logan that was the turnover.
Some good Defence from Pilks but near to the line we didn’t complete the tackle offload was made, with some brilliant footwork we seen Golborne go over making it 20–12 to them.
Fantastic meters from Logan, then Ethan, Lewis, logan, fantastic passing from Rhys the ball hitting Dylan G who made great meters. Lewis just couldn’t break the defence and Pilks lose possession. Great defence from Lewis & Rhys, Golborne lose possession Great pick up from Josh L and a great run. Logan then makes great meters and great meters from Bryn. Lewis gives a great ball to Dylan G who makes great meters just couldn’t get over. Rhys then goes over for a fantastic effort of a try but was called short and no try. Logan then went crashing for the line but couldn’t break the defence. Dylan G with the last place but again Golborne stood strong.

Third 10, Harry made great metres as did josh L. Harry made a great pass to Jacob. Zak next run great ball to Dylan F turn over then to Jacob for the turnover. Golborne ball an with some awesome defence From Jacob he took Golborne into touch. Turn over.
Sloppy pass from Pilks loses us possession so it’s back with Golborne, Fantastic fired up tackle from Jacob! Some awesome ball passing down the line to the wing seen Golborne go over for a Fantastic try! 24-12 to Golborne.
Great run from Dylan F, Ellis, Aidan & Harry, Pilks lose possession. Great defence from Logan, Josh L, Zak & Dylan F. Harry gets hold and manages to keep hold until support arrived. Fantastic defence from Pilks to hold Golborne out.
Great running from Ellis, Logan, Dylan G, Aidan & Kieron who went for the offload but Golborne made an awesome interception and scored a Great try. 28-12.
Pilks ball great run from Ellis, harry, Dylan F and harry on the 5th ball is passed to Logan who uses his strength to crash over for a great try. 28-16 Golborne ball and they knock on. Pilks ball, Great runs from harry, Aidan, Dylan F and Dylan G. Pass to harry to Ellis but Golborne manage to take a fantastic interception and go over for another superb try! 32-16

Forth 10. Some great tackling from Pilks but Golborne manage to get over making it 36-16. Great running from shay, Lewis, Ethan & Bryn, Ben up next with a great strength and players all over him managed to turn his self around and get over the line for a great try! 36-20.
Some fantastic defence from Rhys, shay, Ben & Dylan G. More Great defence from Lewis, cracking tackle from Dylan G and then shay, Lewis & Dylan G make a fantastic try saver holding Golborne on their
Backs until the try was turned down. Last play from Golborne who got a fantastic long ball out and Pilks held strong, but with a quick play and great footwork we seen Golborne go over for the try making it 40-20.
Great runs from Ethan, Josh C & Ben. Golborne ball and some great defence from Rhys, Josh C & Ben, more defence from josh c & Rhys. Then we seen some sloppy defence from Pilks but again a fantastic ball and great skill to see Golborne go over again. 44-20. Great run from bryn, Jacob & Aidan. Last couple of minutes Golborne ball and we seen a fantastic tackle from Aidan, which Golborne lose possession but so did Pilks so they soon have it back. Fantastic defence from Aidan, Lewis & Dylan G seen Golborne lose possession and that’s the game.

Man of the match was picked by our A2B sponsor and went to Aidan Houghton, Aidan had a fantastic game as he does every weeks he’s one of our most consistent players. Aidan doesn’t really have much to say on the pitch never complains just plays rugby and what a fantastic performance he put on for us to watch. Ran hard with the ball and either made fantastic meters or went over for a great try. His defence was awesome with one tackle in particular that was superb and he managed to force the knock on. Plays any position and put his all into what ever we throw at him. Fantastic all round game Aidan, proud of you well done!

Tackler of the Game went to Josh Larkin. Josh is a little lad who I’ve had since the very beginning, in that time he’s never once moaned or gave attitude he just does everything I ask of him. These last few weeks you can see in training and games he’s been trying to push his self that little bit more , he’s had determination and passion for the game which he lost for a while but has started to come back. Josh has took us some fantastic balls up these last few games, one in particular on Sunday where he picked up a lose carry and just ran for it making fantastic meters for his team. He’s been making some awesome tackles over the last few games, last week and this week in particular he’s made some fantastic one on ones. Josh is confidence and when he has that confidence he shines. Your determination, strength, courage and confidence has been awesome josh and all us coaches are massively proud of you, never forget that and believe in yourself like we believe in you. Keep up the fantastic work.

Players player went to Lewis Taylor, I thought Lewis had a relatively quiet game in attack to what he can do on this one but the players decided that they thought he gave some good balls out and he tackled really well under lots of pressure, so what do I know anyway ha! Your defence was great this week, one tackle in particular where you and Dylan Greenall made an awesome try saver holding the player on his back over the line. Great game Lewis keep it up.

Zak Atherton, Zak when he gets his confidence and starts feeling more positive about his self has a fantastic game it’s just getting that positivity from him as he’s so hard on his self. Zak puts his self down before he even starts but it wouldn’t be Zak if he wasn’t like this. This week Zak had more confidence his self and put in some fantastic runs, he took the ball fantastically and made awesome meters for his team and we even seen his confidence sore a little smile and him loving his game, in defence Zak put in some great tackles with his team. Zak is quick of his line and when makes impact puts in some fantastic defence shutting players down. Keep that confidence Zak and know your a brilliant player when you have it, you will achieve what you believe. Fantastic game keep up the good work.

Special mentions, Dylan Greenall you took some hard balls in sticky situations but got yourself out of it and made some great meters for your team, you just love running at them big players! Your defence as always was awesome. We love your toughness and attitude this season,Keep it up.

Ben Looker, Fantastic run, you didn’t stop and you kept pushing for that line, even with players all over you, you still dug deep and used your strength to crash over, awesome try well done!

Rhys crehan, Your having some fantastic games with your ball handling, your getting some awesome balls to your team mate and your confidence is on a high which reflects in your game, so unlucky not to get that try ( I would of give it you, brownie points for Chris ha) your making some superb meters for your team, keep it up well done!

Shay Varkulis, put in some fantastic defence this week and was up there on the tackle count, you made some awesome one on ones and great try savers! You ran hard with the ball making fantatstic meters for your team! Great game Well done!

Logan Parr, I thought you had an superb game not only in attack which you power your way through that defence but in defence these last few weeks you’ve been giving me some awesome one on ones keep it up it isn’t going un-noticed!

Harry Williams, you took your training into your game this week and put in some fantastic attack and really super defence. We’re loving your fierce but well disciplined attitude these last few games you’ve played well done!

Jacob Davies, What a fantastic hat trick, your team gave you same greats ball and you repayed it with some awesome tries. Jacob is so passionate about his rugby, he has a raw talent and it’s something that can’t be taught and is rare to see. The coaches, parents, players and opposition coaches see and speak about how talented you are, don’t put so much pressure on yourself your awesome as you are and we’re all proud of you!

Ethan Bold, Some superb defence again from you this week, Was up there on the tackle count. Made great meters for his team also, nice to see your confidence growing!

Bryn Edwards, don’t be so hard on yourself, you put in some awesome attack and nearly bagged yourself a great try. Your defence was superb, your having a cracking season so far bryn and have been a fantastic tackling machine, pick that chin up and do what you do best because your awesome at it, we’re all proud of you!
